TWO SONSPork.
Rice.
No notes.
Taiwanese braised pork over rice, in a box, at a price that is frankly a bit rude. One thing on the menu. We are not a restaurant, we are a pot.

TAIWAN HAS BEEN DOING LUNCH BETTER THAN US FOR A CENTURY
Lu rou fan is the dish at every lunch counter, train station and family table in Taiwan. It costs almost nothing there and it is better than almost everything here. We are not reinventing it. We are just annoyed that you can’t get it on your street.

IN 2025 I QUIT THE NORMAL JOB AND STARTED MAKING BIAN DANG

It has been the hardest and most rewarding year of my life — a crash course in everything from accounting to operations, driven entirely by the desire to build things I truly care about.
This box comes from that exact same place. I am making Taiwanese bian dang because I grew up with it, because my two sons love it, and because I wanted to bring an authentic, high-quality version to our community.
This is our very first box.
